MESSAGE FROM BRAD:  Due to the number of people with additional support needs attending the events I am unable to offer 1 to 1 support. Being out in the community requires me to make a lot of ad hoc, on the spot risk assessments and decisions – there is an inevitable degree of risk that we are exposed to when we are ‘out-and-about’. It can also get stressful at times, but I see it as a very necessary part of my job. A part of what I do is expose people to ‘real’ situations and then I try facilitating learning from these experiences through peer support. However, while I always do my best to ensure everyone’s safety when being ‘out-and-about’ in public, there is always a chance that some unforeseen circumstances arise. Please consider this when coming along to the ‘events’ that I coordinate
