Before starting as the Nairn Community Connector, I spent five years volunteering - most recently as the drama group leader - with
The Falcon Project (for adults with special needs).
My past Work Experience has included:
Working with GP practices and health and social work specialist teams - to identify and support the needs of ‘hidden’ and existing carers - Highland Carers Project; Managing a work training project for people with mental health problems in Moray;
Specialising in emotional trauma and mental/physical
stress as a holistic massage therapist;
Coaching interviewees on how to use time effectively -
media interviews trainer and consultant
Specialising in news and current affairs programmes as a sound engineer for BBC Radio (mainly Radio 4);
A member of the BBC Equality Committee.
